Great Ocean Road

This amazing journey along Australia’s most famous coastline will take your breath away.  Incorporating rainforests, farmland, beach views and ancient limestone cliffs you can see the best parts of Victoria in one day.

After traveling through the industrial town of Geelong the journey starts at Bells Beach in Torquay.  Famous for its surf, Torquay is the gateway to the 243km road that has everybody in awe.  Built with the blood, sweat and tears of over 3000 Australian diggers from World War 1, the Great Ocean Road was completed in 1932 with only the use of picks, shovels and horse drawn carts.

Along the road are many seaside towns all offering their own unique charm.  Buried in the rainforest is the famous Otway fly tree top walk.  Spanning 600 meters in length and 47 meters high, it’s the world’s longest and highest tree top experience.  You might even see a Koala or two!

And of course there are the 12 apostles.  These incredible rock giants are a sight you’ll never forget.  Visit Loch Ard gorge and learn about an incredible story of shipwreck and survival.

The Great Ocean Road is rich with history, culture and the very best of the Australian wilderness.  This is an experience of a lifetime not to be missed.
